Verdier Eye Center, PLC, is one of a few select centers nationwide participating in the Corneal Donor Study (CDS). Patient enrollment in this study has been completed.  The study investigates corneal transplants and is examining whether donor age affects longevity of transplants and the relationship between corneal transplant donor and recipient blood types.  In addition, the study investigates the density of specific cells in the cornea, called endothelial cells, and their influence on the overall health of the transplant.
