Dr. Radwa Elsharawi is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. She cares for patients with a wide range of corneal and ocular surface conditions, including corneal dystrophies, keratoconus, infectious keratitis and dry eye disease.
Dr. Elsharawi completed her Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan's Kellogg Eye Center after completing her ophthalmology residency at Oregon Health & Science University, where she served as Chief Resident of Education. She earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and a Master of Science in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Elsharawi has contributed to clinical research in corneal disease and surgery and has published in several peer-reviewed ophthalmology journals. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Cornea Society.
Outside of work, Dr. Elsharawi enjoys hiking, traveling, photography, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
